My Favorite Baseball Player

 I was able to travel to KC and see Jaxson pitch his last baseball game.   This was bitter sweet and hopefully there is more to come, but we will see.

Birthday Present

 My birthday present to Ada was taking her to get her ears pierced.  After spending some time convincing her it would be quick and not too painful she finally said, ok let's do it.

Storage Shed

 I purchased this shed in March because Amazon had a great price and free delivery.  It's been taking up so much space in my garage and I was anxious to get it put up.   Dale called me several times and ask me about it and I told him it's still in the box.   I wasn't sure where I was going to put it and what foundation I needed.  I wanted to do it right.   

Well last week he asked me again if I wanted help and I finally admitted yes, I need help.  He came down Tuesday and thankfully it was a beautiful day.  We worked about 5 hours and got the perfect foundation laid.   Thank you to my neighbor Wanda for letting me buy her blocks from her.

Foundation is done.  Now to put the shed together, aka adult puzzle. 

Got the walls and roof done and Dale is on his way home.   Hope I can do the rest by myself.  

I did it and it looks perfect.  Got everything loaded with room to spare.   

Happy Birthday Sammy

 Happy Birthday to our sweet little Sammy.  He's such a funny character with the such a fun sense of humor.  Love you forever Sammy.  Happy 7th Birthday. 

UpState New York

 It was so much more than what I expected.  I'm not sure what I thought we would see but it was so beautiful.  Lots of open farm land, dairy farms and beautiful scenery.  We were there for 8 days and never had a dull moment.  With nothing planned but Niagara Falls it was amazing how busy we were.

Our first two days we spent at Niagara Falls enjoying the beautiful view.  

 

 Our first adventure was Maid of the Mist.  It took us right out to the falls.

Took the trolley around the falls and stopped at all the great lookout points.  

Next adventure was Cave of the Winds.  This was my favorite.

Three Sisters Island

We went to the Bird Conservatory in Canada and this little lady named Jacky kept waving HI!

The view of the US falls was beautiful in Canada but I wasn't impressed being on the Canadian side.  Too many buildings and it was way too commercialized. 

We even tried New York pizza and the original buffalo wings.

Spent a day going the the Buffalo Botanica and then went to Our Lady of Victory Basilica.  The church was stunning.  We stayed for mass and it was very special.

Can you tell we've had a busy week.  I haven't included all the places we stopped antiquing and eating!

It was amazing.....that's all I can say!

Look at my Presents

I have been eyeing these shrubs for the back of the fence line.  I wanted something easy to maintain and give the fence some dimension.   I helped my friend Kris tile her bathroom and she bought me these beautiful shrubs.  She's knows I've been wanting them.  Thanks Kris.

Garden Pond

 Starting the project of putting in a garden pond.  I had one at my old house but I didn't like the fact that I had to get on my hands and knees to work on the pond.  My solution was to build it up.   I put 2 rows of concrete blocks and then put in the pond.   It's still a work in process but it's got water!
